Visco Elastic Memory Foam Mattress
There are different types of memory foam mattress on the market. They include latex, polyurethane, and visco elastic. No matter which of these you buy it is sure to meet your needs and provide a good night’s sleep.
Cold weather can affect a visco elastic memory foam mattress and make it feel firmer to the touch. This is a temporary condition and the mattress will soften once it is warmed by the body’s natural heat. This type of foam can feel warm after you have been sleeping on it for awhile.
Current owners have loved this feature because it helps to keep them warm throughout the winter on cold nights. This can be a drawback however on those hot summer nights making the owner too uncomfortable to sleep. If this poses a problem for you try the latex foam mattress instead.
If you and your partner often fight over who tosses and turns the most this is a great product for you. Because these mattresses reduce the amount of pressure on the body there is little need for tossing and turning in the middle of the night. You will sleep more soundly and more deeply throughout the night.
If for some reason you still toss and turn during the night even a little bit your partner won’t know. This mattress reduces motion transfer so whatever happens on your side of the bed stays on your side of the bed. You and your partner can wake up in the morning fully rested and ready to tackle your day.
This type of foam is available in many densities; this causes a liberal price difference between budget brands and high end brands. Usually you should purchase a mattress with a foam density of four to six pounds. Mattress experts also advise you to purchase a mattress that has a foam core that is between four to six inches.
Mattresses that meet these criteria will cost more than the ones that don’t. Expect to pay anywhere from fifteen hundred dollars to as much as four thousand dollars for one. If you go with a mattress that doesn’t meet all of these standards you may come to regret your choice.
The lower cost versions of these mattresses often do not last as long or provide as good a night’s sleep. The old adage you get what you pay for holds true when it comes to your mattress. You will spend half your life sleeping, so make an investment that will ensure those hours are spend in a deep restful sleep.
Before you buy your mattress try it out at the store. After work go in and spend at least fifteen minutes lying on the mattress in the position you normally sleep. If you go after a long day at work you will be tired and a little anxious, but you will get a better idea of how your body will really respond to the mattress.
